33.04% of Households in Indonesia Own Electronic Money, Jakarta Ranks Highest

According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2025, 33.04% of households in Indonesia owned electronic money within the last year.

Specifically, 29.35% of households used server-based electronic money or e-wallets, and 14.93% used card-based electronic money or e-money.

Based on demographics, DKI Jakarta is the province with the highest electronic money ownership rate, reaching 71.68%. This figure is approximately 2 times higher than the national average.
