In the first half of this year, deposit interest rates at Indonesian commercial banks were lower than last year.

According to data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), during the January—June 2025 period, the average rupiah deposit interest rate for 12-month/longer time deposits ranged between 5—5.1%.

In contrast, from January—June 2024, the average interest rate was higher, ranging from 5.7—5.8%.
