Top 10 Provinces with the Highest Peer-to-Peer Lending Debt at the End of Q1 2025

Based on a report by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), as of January 2025, there were 23.68 million online loan recipients (pinjol) in Indonesia. These borrowers had a total outstanding loan of Rp79.96 trillion.

In the third month of the year, West Java again recorded the highest outstanding online loan amount at Rp19.98 trillion, representing 25% of the national total.

Meanwhile, Papua Pegunungan had the lowest outstanding online loan amount at only Rp4.32 billion, followed by South Papua at Rp11.35 billion and West Papua Daya at Rp18.47 billion.

The following is a list of the top 10 provinces with the highest outstanding online loans in Indonesia as of March 2025:

1. West Java: Rp19.96 trillion

2. DKI Jakarta: Rp12.41 trillion

3. East Java: Rp10.10 trillion

4. Central Java: Rp6.72 trillion

5. Banten: Rp5.93 trillion

6. North Sumatra: Rp2.87 trillion

7. South Sulawesi: Rp1.92 trillion

8. Bali: Rp1.65 trillion

9. South Sumatra: Rp1.63 trillion

10. Riau: Rp1.48 trillion

The OJK also noted that as of March 2025, national online loan users had a 90-day repayment rate (TKB90) of 97.23%. This means that approximately 98 out of 100 online loan users successfully repaid their debts within 90 days of the due date.

The 90-day non-performing loan rate (TWP90) was only 2.77%. This means that only about 2 out of 100 online loan users defaulted on their loans more than 90 days after the due date.
