The Financial Services Authority (OJK) report shows that third-party funds (DPK), or public savings, in general banks reached Rp8,722.03 trillion (Rp8.72 quadrillion) in June 2024.

Dian said that the increase in banking intermediation also influenced the maintenance of profitability levels amid rising interest rates.

Bank lending grew by 12.36% year-on-year (yoy) to Rp7,478.4 trillion as of June 2024.

Meanwhile, on a monthly basis, bank credit disbursement reached Rp102.29 trillion, or a growth of 1.39% (mtm).

This increase in bank credit was also accompanied by maintained credit quality, with a net non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of 0.78%. The gross NPL was recorded at 2.26%.
