BCA Mobile Boasts 20.8 Million Users; Transaction Volume Composition for Q2 2022 Revealed

BCA Mobile application service experienced a disruption on Monday, August 1, 2022. A number of customers of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) reported complaints on social media. Consequently, 20.8 million BCA Mobile users were unable to conduct financial transactions that day.

BCA's Executive Vice President of Secretariat and Corporate Communication, Hera F. Haryn, confirmed that there were issues with the BCA mobile banking service on Monday, August 1, 2022. BCA worked to restore and repair the service.

“Regarding the issues with BCA mobile on Monday, August 1, 2022, we apologize for the inconvenience caused. We can confirm that BCA has worked as quickly and efficiently as possible to restore and repair the service,” said Hera, as reported by *Katadata.co.id* on Monday, August 1, 2022.

For information, the volume of BCA Mobile transactions reached 3.61 billion transactions (67%) of the total transaction volume in the second quarter of 2022. This is the highest compared to other transaction methods.

The volume of transactions for BCA customers using internet banking reached 1.18 billion transactions (22%), ATMs 533 million transactions (10%), and branch offices 24 million transactions (0.45%).

The value of BCA Mobile transactions reached Rp1,321 trillion (13.55%) of the total transactions. Internet banking transactions totaled Rp4,351 trillion (44.63%), ATM transactions Rp588 trillion (5.95%), and branch office transactions Rp3,497 trillion (36%).
