Gold Becomes a Favorite Investment Choice in Indonesia

Gold is not only popular as jewelry, but it is also considered a very profitable investment option. Based on research by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) in collaboration with Stockbit, gold investment is the favorite investment choice in Indonesia. This is evidenced by the answers of 60.2% of respondents.

Next, 33.2% of respondents answered land as their investment choice. Then, 26.4% of respondents admitted to having investments in the business/entrepreneurial sector. In addition, mutual funds are also a favorite investment choice for the public, ranking fourth with support from 24.8% of respondents.

These findings prove that traditional investments are still popular among Indonesian investors. This is evident from the fact that only one digital investment is included in the top five of this list.

The only digital investment option in the top five is mutual funds. 24.8% of respondents admitted to having investments in this instrument.

Cryptocurrency is becoming a choice for Indonesian investors, with 18.7% admitting to owning it. This percentage is even higher than the percentage of those who have bank deposits (15.9%).
