IDR 841 Trillion in Working Capital Loans Disbursed to the Wholesale and Retail Sector

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the position of general bank working capital credit reached Rp2.59 quadrillion at the end of 2021. This figure increased by 6.23% from the previous year, which amounted to Rp2.43 quadrillion.

Wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and motorcycles, was the business sector that received the largest disbursement of working capital credit.

The position of working capital credit to this sector reached Rp841.25 trillion at the end of 2021. Its value grew by 3.06% from the previous year, reaching 32.53% of the total working capital credit disbursed.

The next largest recipient of working capital credit was the manufacturing industry, reaching Rp670.97 trillion with a share of 25.96%. Following this was the construction sector with credit disbursement of Rp226.76 trillion or 8.77%.

Meanwhile, the business sector that received the smallest disbursement of working capital credit was the water supply, waste management, toxic waste and recycling sector, amounting to Rp2.14 trillion or only 0.08% of the total credit.

Following this were the education services sector with credit disbursement of only Rp2.5 trillion or 0.1%, and government administration, defense and mandatory social security at Rp3.15 trillion or 0.12%.

There were also loans to non-business sectors (household consumption) with a credit value of Rp426.34 billion at the end of 2021.
