BCA Ranked as the World's Strongest Bank Brand in 2024

According to a Brand Finance report, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has been named the world's strongest banking brand in 2024.

Out of 500 banking brands worldwide, this Indonesian private bank achieved a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 93.8 out of 100. Furthermore, BCA received a perfect AAA+ brand strength rating.

Equity Bank from Kenya ranked second with 92.5 points, followed by Banca Transilvania from Romania with 92.3 points.

The report also stated that, on average, Asian and African banking brands possess the greatest strength compared to other regions.

“This is largely due to both continents having many strong national banking players in their respective markets,” said Brand Finance CEO Davis Haigh in his report.

Brand Finance uses the term 'brand strength' as a measure of overall brand health, reflecting a bank's position in the hearts of its customers.

BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja expressed his gratitude to Brand Finance and customers for their continued trust.

“This appreciation is certainly inseparable from the trust of all loyal customers, support from the government and regulators, and the excellent work of all BCA employees throughout Indonesia,” said Jahja in a written statement on Monday, March 18, 2024.

6. ICBC (China): 89.9 points
7. Capitec Bank (South Africa): 89.1 points
8. Vietcombank (Vietnam): 89.1 points
9. Bank of China (China): 88.9 points
10. CTBC Bank (Taiwan): 88.8 points
