Databoks Expert Corner is a publication platform based on expert contributions (User Generated Content) managed by PT Katadata Indonesia through Databoks.
Databoks respects and protects the privacy of every contributor. This Privacy Policy explains how Databoks collects, uses, stores, manages, and protects personal information provided by contributors during registration, article submission, publication, and other activities related to Databoks Expert Corner.
By registering as a contributor or submitting an article through Databoks Expert Corner, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Confidentiality and Use
Databoks does not sell, rent, trade, or transfer contributor personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Personal data is only used for:
- Databoks Expert Corner program management;
- editorial needs;
- communication with contributors;
- Databoks service development.
Databoks will not use contributor personal data for direct marketing without obtaining consent from the contributor.
5. Compliance with Personal Data Protection Regulations
Databoks is committed to complying with the principles of contributor personal data processing in accordance with applicable laws in Indonesia, including Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP).

E. Procedure for Exercising Contributor Rights
- Submit a written request stating the reason for the inquiry or complaint to databoks@katadata.co.id;
- The Databoks team will verify your request;
- After verification, a response will be provided no later than 3x24 hours on business days from the time the request was submitted;
- If your request is rejected, the reason will be communicated in writing.
7. Data Storage and Security
A. Databoks implements reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect personal data from:
- unauthorized access;
- data loss;
- misuse;
- unauthorized changes;
- improper disclosure.
B. Databoks will provide written notice to you no later than 72 (seventy-two) hours on business days from knowing or should have known of a Personal Data Security Breach as referred to in letter A.
C. Nevertheless, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Therefore, contributors are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account and login information.
8. Article Storage and Editorial Archive
Published articles may be retained as part of the Databoks editorial archive.
Account deletion or cessation of participation as a contributor does not automatically remove published articles, unless there are legal reasons or editorial considerations that require removal.
Databoks reserves the right to retain publication archives for documentation, reference, and editorial integrity purposes.
9. Links to Third-Party Sites
Articles or contributor profiles may contain links to third-party websites, including:
- institutional websites;
- scientific journals;
- research repositories;
- professional profiles.
Databoks is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites.
Contributors are advised to read the privacy policy of each site they visit.
10. Privacy Policy Changes
Databoks may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to adapt to service developments, operational needs, or regulatory changes.
The latest version will be published through the Databoks Expert Corner platform and effective from the date of update.
