According to the Jakarta Provincial Government, the accumulated volume of river waste in Jakarta in 2024 reached 499,890 cubic meters (m³).
The monthly weight fluctuated, with February recording the highest volume at 68,930 m³.
According to the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov Jakarta), the percentage increase in February was also the highest, reaching 58.73% month-to-month (mom).
However, in March 2024, a significant decrease occurred, and the volume of waste that month was the lowest throughout 2024.
Based on administrative city, Central Jakarta had the lowest total volume of river waste at 64,540 m³, while East Jakarta had the highest at 139,430 m³.
The Jakarta Provincial Government also calculated residual waste, which is waste that is difficult or impossible to recycle. Of the total volume of 499,890 m³, 83.74% or 418,600 m³ was residual waste.
East Jakarta had the smallest percentage of residual waste at 59.60% of the total river waste volume, while Central Jakarta had the largest at 98.15%.
