Most Fires in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area Occur in Residential Areas

Based on Indonesian National Police (Polri) data, from January 1st to July 29th, 2025, there were 87 reported fires in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya, which encompasses Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jadetabek).

Of these, the most reported fires occurred in residential areas. This is followed by shops, public roads, ports, and warehouses.

The following is a detailed breakdown of fire reports in the Polda Metro Jaya jurisdiction from January 1st to July 29th, 2025:

2. Shops: 10 reports

3. Public roads: 5 reports

4. Ports: 5 reports

5. Warehouses: 4 reports

6. Restaurants: 3 reports

7. Offices: 2 reports

8. Warungs (small shops): 2 reports

9. Dormitories: 1 report

10. Cafes: 1 report

11. Industry/factories: 1 report

12. Ships: 1 report

13. Rental houses: 1 report

14. Markets: 1 report

15. Unknown: 1 report

During this period, the highest number of fire reports were recorded in the Polres Metro Jakarta Utara area, with 38 reports. This is followed by Polres Metro Depok with 23 reports and Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan with 9 reports.

From January 1st to July 29th, 2025, the most fire reports occurred between 6 PM and 9:59 PM, with 19 reports.

This is followed by 8 AM to 11:59 AM (15 reports), 3 PM to 5:59 PM (15 reports), 12 PM to 2:59 PM (14 reports), 12 AM to 4:59 AM (13 reports), 5 AM to 7:59 AM (7 reports), and 10 PM to 11:59 PM (4 reports).
