Shell Indonesia Raises Fuel Prices as of April 2, 2022; Here's the Price Breakdown

PT Shell Indonesia raised its fuel prices across the board starting Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, at 00:00 WIB. This price increase applies to various regions and fuel types, from Super to VPower Diesel.

According to the official Shell Indonesia website, for example, the price of Shell Super (RON 92) increased to Rp 16,500 per liter from the previous price of Rp 12,990 per liter. Similarly, Shell V-Power (RON 95) rose to Rp 17,500 per liter from Rp 14,500 per liter.

Previously, Shell fuel prices varied across different sales areas. However, this latest price adjustment is consistent across various regions, including DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, East Java, and North Sumatra.

Susi Hutapea, Vice President of Corporate Relations at Shell Indonesia, stated that Shell adjusts its prices periodically, considering various factors. These include the price of refined oil products based on the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS), market volatility, foreign exchange rates, government taxes and customs duties, distribution costs, and operational expenses.
