List of Countries with the World's Highest Fuel Prices: Is Indonesia on the List?

The Indonesian government recently raised fuel prices on September 3, 2022. Despite the increase, Indonesian fuel prices are not the highest in the world.

Pertalite at Pertamina gas stations is now sold at Rp10,000 per liter, up from Rp7,650. Solar, previously priced at Rp5,150 per liter, has increased to Rp6,800 per liter. Pertamax, a non-subsidized fuel, has risen from Rp12,500 to Rp14,500 per liter.

According to Global Petrol Prices, as of September 5, 2022, Hong Kong has the world's highest fuel prices at Rp44,188.301 per liter (RON 95 equivalent). Zimbabwe follows with Rp38,320.106 per liter.

Next are the Central African Republic at Rp33,829.821 per liter, Iceland at Rp33,401.231 per liter, Norway at Rp32,599.549 per liter, Barbados at Rp32,399.020 per liter, and Switzerland in seventh place with Rp31,330.142 per liter.
