2018, Target Lifting Crude Oil Indonesia 771-815 thousand barrels per day

The government targets oil lifting in 2018 to be in the range of 771,000-815,000 barrels per day (bpd). This figure is somewhat pessimistic compared to the target in the 2017 State Budget (APBN), which was 815,000 bpd.

The 2018 macroeconomic framework and fiscal policy outlines state that the target for oil and gas lifting considers production capacity and the natural decline rate in existing oil and gas fields. It also incorporates the addition of projects coming online and planned activities by the Contractor Contract of Work (KKKS) next year.

Since 2012, actual oil lifting has shown a downward trend and has consistently fallen short of the APBN target. However, in 2016, domestic oil lifting slightly increased to 829,000 bpd, but still remained below the APBN target.
