The International Energy Agency (IEA) sets a minimum standard of 90 days of oil stock resilience for its member countries.

This means that IEA member countries should be able to survive for at least 90 days without importing oil.

"Ideally, [the oil stock] in the international consensus is 3 months, so what we have to do is build storage," said Bahlil at a Working Meeting with the XII Commission of the House of Representatives on Thursday (22/1/2026).
