According to the Handbook of Energy & Economic Statistics of Indonesia 2024 from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Indonesia's final electricity consumption initially amounted to 48.6 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) in 2000.

This figure then increased significantly a decade later, reaching 90.7 million BOE in 2010. Just two years later, consumption volume exceeded 100 million BOE.

The latest data from 2024 shows final consumption at 205.8 million BOE, a 6.33% increase from 2023's 193.54 million BOE.

The Ministry of ESDM notes that this calculated final energy consumption does not include non-energy uses.
