Recently, the Ministry of ESDM confirmed that it will not increase the import quota for new fuel for private companies owning public gas stations (SPBU) in 2025. This is in response to the scarcity of fuel supply or stock at several private gas stations owned by Shell Indonesia and BP-AKR.

The Ministry of ESDM has held a meeting with Pertamina and private SPBU business entities regarding the fuel shortage. Follow-up actions from the meeting will involve sending letters to each business entity to synchronize with Pertamina, both in terms of volume and fuel specifications.
