This is the Type of Milk Consumed by Indonesian Citizens

According to a JakPat survey, 75% of Indonesian respondents consume milk.

"Awareness of the importance of milk consumption continues to grow, as seen from the 75% of respondents who have consumed it. However, the consumption rate remains low, with only 16% consuming it daily," said JakPat's Head of Research, as reported by *CNN Indonesia*, Thursday (3/10/2024).

Of the group that consumes milk, the majority, or 82% of respondents, chose UHT milk.

Other types of milk consumed by respondents include sweetened condensed milk (73%), full cream milk (71%), powdered milk (66%), fresh milk (64%), low-fat milk (40%), and skim milk (23%).

The survey also noted how respondents consume milk. The majority, or 92% of respondents, chose to consume it directly.

Some also consumed it by making it into coffee (29%), mixing it with cereal (27%), processing it into smoothies (27%), or making it into milk tea (18%).

This JakPat survey involved a total of 1,238 respondents, then narrowed down to 889 respondents who consume milk.

Respondents were located in non-Jabodetabek Java (46%), Jabodetabek (37%), and outside Java (17%). Respondents were dominated by millennials at 44%, Gen Z at 39%, and Gen X at 16%.

The survey was conducted online through the JakPat application on September 6-7, 2024, with a margin of error below 5%.
