PT Bukit Asam Tbk is recognized as the Indonesian mining company with the best implementation of a sustainable corporate system. This is based on a report by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) titled *Katadata Corporate Sustainability Index*.
PT Bukit Asam Tbk's corporate sustainability index score reached 81.58% in 2022.
PT Indika Energy Tbk. ranked second among mining companies with the best sustainable systems, achieving an index score of 80.02%.
PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk. ranked third, with a sustainability index score of 80%.
Katadata calculated the index for 31 publicly listed mining companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Assessment indicators included energy and water, emissions and waste, environmental efforts, social aspects, and certifications.

The assessment covered publicly listed companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange across three industrial sectors: plantation, mining, and food and beverage.
