Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati said that the addition of the subsidized fuel quota aims to cover the potential for fuel shortages due to a surge in public consumption. According to her, the supply of subsidized fuel will only last until the end of October 2022 if there is no quota increase.

The addition of the subsidized fuel quota is effective from October 1, 2022. Although the quota has been officially increased, BPH Migas encourages the public to consume subsidized fuel according to its intended use.
