The Indonesian Political Indicator conducted a survey on various problems faced by residents of Central Java. The results show that the majority of respondents (34.6%) stated that the main problem in Central Java is the high cost of basic necessities.

The next most significant problems were difficulty finding work (17.1%), poverty (11.7%), flooding (6.3%), waste management (6.2%), and the availability of clean water (2%). Other issues included security and public order, high education costs, and other problems as shown in the graph.

The Indikator survey also found that the majority (45.3%) of respondents felt that Central Java's economic conditions had not changed from the previous year. Furthermore, 30.9% of respondents assessed the current conditions as better, while 22.1% felt that conditions were worse than the previous year.

This survey involved 800 respondents in Central Java, with the criteria being 17 years of age or older, or married. Respondents were selected using a multistage random sampling method.

Data collection was conducted from June 10-17, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 3.5% at a 95% confidence level.
