105 Newly Appointed Civil Servants (CPNS) from the 2021 Selection Process Resigned

The Indonesian State Civil Apparatus Agency (BKN) recorded 105 prospective civil servants (CPNS) who passed the 2021 selection process but withdrew.

The details are: 17 CPNS in Ministries, 2 in state institutions, 11 in provincial governments, 69 in regency/district governments, and 6 in city governments.

BKN Head of Legal, Public Relations, and Cooperation Bureau, Satya, stated that hundreds of CPNS who passed the selection withdrew. "The reasons vary," said Satya, as reported by *Kompas.com* on Thursday (26/5/2022).

The withdrawal of these CPNS is detrimental to the state. The positions in the respective institutions, which should have been filled, are now vacant. Furthermore, the state incurred significant costs during the CPNS recruitment process.

Those who withdraw will be sanctioned with a ban from applying for CPNS positions for the following year. In addition to this sanction, there are also fines imposed by their respective institutions.

In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, withdrawing CPNS must pay a penalty of Rp50 million. In the Ministry of National Development Planning, it's Rp35 million, while in the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the fine can reach hundreds of millions of Rupiah.

As is known, 112,514 individuals passed the 2021 CPNS selection.
