The Indonesian Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Kementerian PANRB) will open recruitment for prospective civil servants (CPNS) and government employees with work agreements (PPPK) in 2023.

Minister of PANRB Abdullah Azwar Anas stated that the projected needs for CPNS and PPPK next year will consider proposals submitted by ministries/agencies (K/L) and local governments.

He stated that the 2023 ASN recruitment needs are for PPPK selection, namely Teachers, Health Workers, and Technical Staff. The projection is 424,843 positions for regional institutions and 93,195 positions for central institutions.

Meanwhile, the required formations in CPNS recruitment range from prosecutors to technical staff. However, he did not specify the number.

"Certain prospective civil servants such as judges, prosecutors, lecturers, agents, and other specific technical staff," Azwar said.

The former Head of the Government Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) said the government will also prepare for fulfilling ASN formations in Papua and West Papua, as well as the New Autonomous Regions (DOB) of Papua.

Based on data from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) as of September 2022, the total number of ASN recorded is 4,315,181. This consists of 3,956,018 PNS and 359,163 PPPK.

"The projected needs for 2023 also consider proposals submitted by ministries, agencies, and local governments, which are currently under review. The formations will be determined in due course, considering the input of the Minister of Finance," Azwar said.
