February 2023, Average Wage for Health and Social Workers in West Papua: Rp. 3.12 Million

The average net monthly wage of formal health and social workers in West Papua in February 2023 decreased by Rp. -0.17 million to Rp. 3.12 million compared to December 2022. Over the past seven years, the average wage of health and social workers has steadily increased at a higher rate than in previous years.

The average net monthly wage of formal health and social workers in the last five years experienced its highest growth in 2019 at 43.57% and its lowest in 2020, declining by 33.46%.

According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the salary/wage received by workers in this sector in West Papua Province amounted to Rp. 3.12 million. Compared to other provinces, the average salary/wage in the health and social services sector in this province ranks 15th nationally.

The second highest-paying sector is electricity and gas provision, with a monthly salary/wage of Rp. 5.02 million. Third is the financial services and insurance sector with a payment of Rp. 3.9 million.
