February 2023: Average Salary for Administrative Workers in Government, Defense, and Mandatory Social Security in Riau Province is Rp. 3.61 Million

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the average net monthly wage of formal workers in government administration, defense, and mandatory social security in Riau in February 2023 increased by Rp. 193,906 to Rp. 3.61 million compared to December 2022. Compared to December 2021, the average wage of government administration, defense, and mandatory social security workers also increased from Rp. 3.08 million.

The average net monthly wage of formal workers in government administration, defense, and mandatory social security in the last five years experienced its highest growth in 2022 at 10.67% and its lowest in 2021, with a decrease of 5.17%.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the salary/wage received by workers in this sector in Riau province amounted to Rp. 3.61 million. Compared to other provinces, the average salary/wage in the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector in this province ranks 19th nationally.

Compared to 16 other sectors, the salary/wage of workers in this sector ranks third. Meanwhile, the employment sector with the highest salary/wage in this province is mining and quarrying, with a net monthly income reaching Rp. 4.71 million.

The second highest paying sector is construction, with a monthly salary/wage of Rp. 3.63 million. Then, in third place is the government administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector with a payment of Rp. 3.61 million.
