The Indonesian government will open approximately 2.3 million vacancies for Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) and Government Employees with Work Contracts (PPPK) in 2024.
According to the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Abdullah Azwar Anas, 690,822 CPNS positions are available for fresh graduates.
"This year, the government has allocated a significant number of positions for fresh graduates to participate in the selection process, including lecturers, teachers, health workers, technical personnel, digital talents, and many other important sectors," said Anas, as reported by Antara on Friday (5/1/2024).
Anas detailed that central government institutions will open 429,183 vacancies, comprising 207,247 CPNS positions and 221,936 PPPK positions.
These positions are a combination of roles for teachers, lecturers, health workers, and technical personnel.
Meanwhile, regional government institutions will open 1,867,333 vacancies, comprising 483,575 CPNS positions and 1,383,758 PPPK positions.
PPPK positions in regional institutions are allocated to 419,146 teachers, 417,196 health workers, and 547,416 technical personnel.
According to Anas, the number of regional institution vacancies is larger than that of central institutions because the composition of civil servants (ASN) is indeed greater in the regions.
"These talents are the main foundation and the most important pillar in realizing superior human resources to welcome Indonesia's Golden Age in 2045," said Anas.
Anas stated that the government is also committed to resolving the issue of non-ASN personnel, including former Category II Honorary Workers, in line with Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning ASN.
"One concrete policy is the allocation of 1.6 million PPPK positions this year, which will provide opportunities for non-ASN personnel to become PPPKs," said Anas.
He continued that regarding lecturers, teachers, and health workers, the government will strive to increase their numbers and distribute them evenly throughout the country.
"Current and future ASN must be able to drive improvements in government performance, accountability, and equitable quality of public services throughout the country, including the most advanced, outermost, and underdeveloped regions," he said.
Anas mentioned that the government is also preparing ASN recruitment for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN).
He explained that ASN recruitment will utilize computer-assisted testing (CAT) to ensure transparency and accountability.
The competency selection will be online, including the use of facial recognition technology, to minimize potential fraud.
The selection scores will be publicly accessible in real-time, including live scores broadcast via YouTube.
"Therefore, there will be no more favoritism, no intervention from anyone, and no influence from insiders. Success will be determined by the applicant's own abilities. This ensures equal opportunities for all Indonesian citizens to serve the nation and state," said Anas.
