2023 Data: Unemployment in North Lampung Regency is 5.73%

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the open unemployment rate (TPT) in North Lampung Regency reached 5.73% in 2023. This figure is a decrease of 0.42% compared to December 2022, which was recorded at 6.15%. Compared to December 2021, the figure decreased by 0.41%.

The open unemployment rate (TPT) over the past five years reached its highest point in 2022 at 6.15% and its lowest point in 2018 at 4.83%.

Compared to other regencies/cities, the open unemployment rate in this regency/city ranks 125th nationally. The national average open unemployment rate in 2023 was 4.3%.

The reduction in the open unemployment rate (TPT) this year can be seen from the number of the workforce and the number of employed people. The number of the workforce in North Lampung Regency has increased over the past three years. Historically, in 2021 there were 306,990 workers, in 2022 this decreased to 296,360 workers, and in 2023 it was recorded at 316,290 workers.

Regarding the number of employed people, the number of workers in North Lampung Regency has shown an upward trend over the past 15 years. After the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the past five years, the number of workers has also been on an upward trend. In 2022, the number of workers was 278,120, then increased by 8,430 workers from the previous year to 306,590 workers in 2024.
