2023 Data: Unemployment in Semarang City 5.99%

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Semarang City in December 2023 decreased by 1.61% to 5.99% compared to December 2022. Compared to December 2021, the open unemployment rate (OUR) also decreased from 9.54%.

Since 2018, the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Semarang City has shown an upward trend in terms of numbers. However, the Covid-19 pandemic, which began in March 2020, was also followed by a decrease in the open unemployment rate (OUR) in Semarang City.
