Around 485,000 workers will be needed for the pre-construction and construction phases; 243,000 workers for the manufacturing phase; and 31,000 workers for the operation and maintenance phase.

By sector, the greatest green job opportunities are projected to come from solar power projects, which are expected to absorb 348,000 workers, or 46% of the total estimated workforce needs.

The following is a complete list of green job opportunities from Indonesian NRE projects during the 2025-2034 period, according to the Deputy Minister of ESDM:

1. Solar Energy: 348,057 workers

2. Hydropower: 129,759 workers

3. Pumped Storage Energy System: 94,195 workers

4. Battery Energy Storage System: 68,193 workers

5. Wind Energy: 58,938 workers

6. Geothermal Energy: 42,700 workers

7. Biomass Energy: 7,197 workers

8. Nuclear Energy: 6,850 workers

9. Waste-to-Energy: 2,429 workers

10. Biogas Energy: 1,481 workers

11. Ocean Energy: 341 workers
