Distribution of LPKs in Indonesia, First Semester 2025

According to the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), in the first semester of 2025, there were 7,213 vocational training institutions (LPKs) in Indonesia.

This number is divided into several types of institutions, including community-based vocational training centers (BLK Komunitas) 51.17%, private LPKs 42.77%, and regional technical implementing unit (UPTD) BLKs 3.97%.

Then, overseas vocational training centers (BLKLN) 1.32%, central technical implementing unit (UPTP) BLKs 0.29%, company LPKs 0.26%, ministry/agency training institutions 0.17%, and regional government work units (SKPD) 0.06%.

Based on their distribution, the most LPKs are located in West Java Province, as shown in the list of the top 10 provinces with the most LPKs below:

1. West Java: 1,393 LPKs
2. East Java: 1,352 LPKs
3. Central Java: 1,199 LPKs
4. Banten: 308 LPKs
5. North Sumatra: 266 LPKs
6. South Sulawesi: 264 LPKs
7. Lampung: 255 LPKs
8. West Nusa Tenggara: 215 LPKs
9. Yogyakarta Special Region: 183 LPKs
10. Jakarta: 179 LPKs

According to Kemnaker, even though the number of LPKs in the first semester of 2025 reached 7,213, less than 20% are accredited.

"In terms of accreditation status, approximately 17.77% of LPKs are accredited, and approximately 82.23% are not yet accredited," said Kemnaker.
