Online transportation applications generally have a positive economic impact on online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver partners. This is evident from the *Ride Hailing Industry 2023* research report released by the School of Business and Management, Bandung Institute of Technology (SBM ITB).

In May-July 2023, SBM ITB surveyed 529 two-wheeled ojol drivers in 10 major cities: Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Medan, Bandung, Surabaya, Bali, and Makassar.

SBM ITB found that the average income of all respondents before becoming app partners was approximately Rp2.57 million per month.

After becoming partners, their income increased by Rp1.43 million, resulting in a total average income of Rp4 million per month.

When broken down by region, the highest increase in income was recorded in Bali.

Before becoming app partners, respondent ojol drivers in Bali had an average income of Rp3.24 million per month. After becoming partners, their average income increased by Rp3.09 million, totaling approximately Rp6.3 million per month.

The smallest increase was in Bekasi, where the average income increased by only Rp193,000 per month after becoming a partner.

The average additional income for ojol drivers in other cities ranged from Rp230,000 to Rp2.3 million, as detailed in the graph.

SBM ITB conducted this face-to-face survey using the computer-assisted self-interviewing (CASI) method, with a margin of error of 3-4%.
