BPS also recorded that 59.40% of workers in February 2025 were employed in the informal sector and 40.60% in the formal sector.

Based on industry, most Indonesian workers were employed in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector (28.54%).

This was followed by the wholesale and retail trade sector (19.26%), the manufacturing industry (13.45%), and the accommodation and food service sector (7.87%).
