According to data from the Ministry of Manpower compiled by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2024 there were 7 provinces with a surplus of job vacancies.
This is evident from the number of vacancies in these provinces exceeding the number of job seekers.
In DKI Jakarta, for example, there were approximately 61,000 registered job vacancies in 2024.
However, the number of registered job seekers in DKI Jakarta was only 35,000, resulting in a surplus of approximately 26,000 vacancies.
Similar conditions occurred in DI Yogyakarta, Central Sulawesi, Riau Islands, West Kalimantan, Central Papua, and Highland Papua, with details as shown in the graph.
Meanwhile, other provinces experienced a job vacancy "deficit" in 2024, where the number of vacancies was fewer than the number of job seekers.
