According to data from the Ministry of Manpower collected by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), around 630,000 job vacancies were registered in Indonesia in 2024.
This number is almost three times higher than in 2023 and approximately ten times higher than in 2022, as shown in the graph.
When broken down by region, most of these registered job vacancies are located on Java Island.
Here are the 10 provinces with the most registered job vacancies in 2024:
1. West Java: 148,700 vacancies
2. Central Java: 131,700 vacancies
3. East Java: 64,700 vacancies
4. Jakarta: 61,000 vacancies
5. Banten: 34,000 vacancies
6. Yogyakarta: 24,300 vacancies
7. West Nusa Tenggara: 22,900 vacancies
8. Central Sulawesi: 13,800 vacancies
9. South Sumatra: 12,200 vacancies
10. West Sumatra: 10,700 vacancies
