DKI Jakarta ranked first. The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) recorded an average of 11.18 years of schooling in this province. Annual data in this region increased by 1.91% compared to the same period the previous year.

Following in second place is Kepulauan Riau. The average years of schooling in this province was reported as 10.38 years. The annual statistics for the average years of schooling showed a 1.47% increase compared to the same period the previous year, which was recorded at 10.23 years.

Next, the average years of schooling in Maluku increased by 0.7% to 10.14 years compared to the same period the previous year; North Sulawesi increased by 0.92% to 9.85 years compared to the same period the previous year; and East Kalimantan increased by 0.82% to 9.79 years compared to the same period the previous year.
