Survey: Most Indonesians Optimistic About the Country's Post-Pandemic Recovery

According to a survey by Algoritma Research & Consulting, the majority, or 92.6%, of Indonesian citizens expressed confidence in Indonesia's ability to recover post-Covid-19 pandemic.

"There's a new optimism that we can rise better," said Fajar Nursahid, Research and Program Director, as quoted by *Antara News*, Tuesday (August 23, 2022).

Several factors contributed to respondents' belief in Indonesia's post-pandemic recovery.

The survey results indicate that 28.7% of respondents believe in the human resources (HR) factor, and 24.3% believe in the natural resources (NR) factor as key drivers of this recovery.

Furthermore, social capital such as tolerance, Pancasila, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) underpinned respondents' confidence in Indonesia's post-pandemic resurgence.

Meanwhile, 5.8% of respondents stated they were not confident in Indonesia's post-pandemic recovery, and 1.6% responded with "don't know."

This survey involved 1,206 respondents representing the national adult population. The margin of error is approximately 3%, with a 95% confidence level.

Data collection was conducted by Algoritma from July 23 to August 5, 2022, through telephone interviews by 40 enumerators.
