51.14% of NTT's Workforce are Elementary School Graduates or Below

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the population of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) aged 15 and above who are employed reached 2.725 million people. Of this number, 1.39 million people or 51.14% are people with an education level of Elementary School (SD) or lower.

The number of workers with a Junior High School (SMP) education level in NTT is 377,000 people. This number is equivalent to 13.84% of the total working population of NTT. Meanwhile, workers who graduated from Senior High School (SMA) and University totaled 953,000 people or 35.01%.

According to the main occupation, the majority of NTT's population works in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, reaching 1.40 million people. This number is equivalent to 51.43% of the total working population of NTT.

Meanwhile, the sector with the fewest workers in NTT is the information and communication sector, with only 6,000 people. This number is equivalent to 0.22% of the total working population of NTT.

The proportion of the working population of NTT by gender shows that the majority are men, at 1.5 million people or 55.33%. Meanwhile, the number of working women in NTT is 1.21 million people or 44.7%.
