After the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of commuters in Indonesia decreased drastically. This was influenced by mobility restriction policies widely implemented during 2020-2021, the increasing trend of working from home, and the rise in unemployment due to the pandemic.

In February 2020, before the pandemic hit, the number of commuters reached 9 million. However, in February 2021, this number decreased by 1.02 million, and further decreased by 940,000 in February 2022.
