Farm Laborer's Nominal Wage Increased to Rp 56,829 in July 2021

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the average nominal wage for farm laborers at Rp 56,829 per day in July 2021. This figure increased by 0.06% compared to the previous month, which was Rp 56,794 per day.

Meanwhile, the average real wage for farm laborers was recorded at Rp 52,653 per day in July 2021. This figure decreased by 0.08% compared to the previous month, which was Rp 52,694 per day.

Similarly, informal urban laborers experienced the same trend. The average nominal wage for construction workers was Rp 91,171 per day in July 2021, up 0.05% from the previous month. Meanwhile, the average real wage for construction workers was Rp 85,570 per day, or down 0.03% in July 2021.

The average nominal wage for domestic helpers increased by 0.06% to Rp 424,631 per month in July 2021. Meanwhile, their real wage decreased by 0.02% to Rp 398,547 per month.

Furthermore, the average nominal wage for female hairdressers increased by 0.01% to Rp 29,132 per head in July 2021. Meanwhile, their average real wage decreased by 0.07% to Rp 27,343 per head.

According to BPS, the nominal wage of a laborer is the average daily wage received as compensation for work performed. The real wage of a laborer reflects the purchasing power of the income received.
