February 2023, Average Wage for Construction Workers in West Sulawesi: Rp. 1.71 Million

The average net monthly wage of formal construction workers in West Sulawesi in February 2023 decreased by Rp. 0.32 million to Rp. 1.71 million compared to December 2022. Compared to December 2021, the average wage of construction workers also decreased from Rp. 1.89 million.

The average net monthly wage of formal construction workers over the past five years experienced its highest growth in 2021 at 10.6% and its lowest in 2023, with a decrease of 15.62%.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the salary/wage received by workers in this sector in West Sulawesi Province amounted to Rp. 1.71 million. Compared to other provinces, the average salary/wage in the construction sector in this province ranks 34th nationally.

Compared to 16 other sectors, wages in this sector rank 13th. Meanwhile, the sector with the highest salary/wage in this province is financial and insurance services, with a net monthly income of Rp. 3.8 million.
