Top 10 Senior High Schools in East Kalimantan Based on 2022 UTBK Scores

Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Insan Cendikia in Paser Regency is the best Senior High School (SMA) in East Kalimantan.

In the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK), MAN Insan Cendikia achieved a total score of 573.9 in 2022. This achievement placed the MAN in Paser Regency as the best SMA in East Kalimantan and ranked 115th nationally.

SMA Negeri 1 Balikpapan is the next best SMA with a UTBK score of 557.98. Followed by SMAS Yayasan Pendidikan Vidya Dahana Patra with a score of 553.63, SMAS Yayasan Pupuk Kaltim Bontang with a score of 546.92, and SMAN 5 Balikpapan Selatan with a score of 541.35.

Next are SMA Negeri 10 Samarinda with a UTBK score of 539.32; SMA 1 Berau with a score of 533.54; SMA 2 Balikpapan Utara with a score of 532.65; SMAN 1 Bontang with a score of 532.49; and SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda with a score of 520.32.

For information, there are 17 SMAs in East Kalimantan included in the Top 1,000 Schools list according to the 2022 ranking of the Higher Education Entrance Test Agency (LTMPT).

LTMPT ranked the Top 1,000 schools from 23,657 schools and 745,115 participants. The ranking methodology is as follows:

* Schools with more than 40 participants in the 2022 UTBK (2022 graduates).
* 3,381 schools met this criterion.
* 515,165 participants met the 2022 UTBK assessment criteria.
* The 2022 UTBK score is calculated based on 60% TPS + 40% TKA.
* Schools are ranked by total score from highest to lowest.
* The top 1,000 schools with the highest total scores are selected.
