What was the 2019 Education Budget allocated to the Ministry of Education and Culture?

The 2019 education budget channeled through the Ministry of Education and Culture decreased by 10.2% to Rp 36 trillion from the previous year. This amount is equivalent to 22.07% of the education budget through central government spending, valued at Rp 163.1 trillion, or 7.31% of the total education budget this year, which is Rp 492.5 trillion. This budget through central government spending includes an additional Rp 1.25 trillion for the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the Indonesian Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT).

Meanwhile, the largest education budget channeled through central government spending is for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, reaching Rp 51.9 trillion. The second largest is for the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, at Rp 40.2 trillion.

This year's education budget channeled through transfers amounted to Rp 308.4 trillion, a 10% increase from the previous year, while that channeled through financing reached Rp 21 trillion, a 40% increase from the previous year.
