2022 SNMPTN Applicant Numbers Increase: Here's the Breakdown

The National Selection for State Universities Entrance (SNMPTN) Institute (LTMPT) recorded 612,049 participants registered for the 2022 SNMPTN.

This number of applicants increased by approximately 3.09% compared to the previous year, which totaled 593,667 participants.

According to the LTMPT report, the majority of 2022 SNMPTN applicants, or 65.83%, came from senior high schools (SMA), totaling 402,922 people, an increase from the previous year's 392,947.

Furthermore, 131,148 SNMPTN 2022 participants were from vocational high schools (SMK), 77,351 from madrasah aliyah (MA), 468 from cooperative education units (SPK) SMA, and 160 from other school types.

In this year's SNMPTN, there were no participants from community learning centers (PKNM/Paket C). In the 2021 SNMPTN, there were 144 participants from this group.

Of the total 2022 SNMPTN applicants, only 120,643 were declared successful in the announcement on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

The details are: 109,276 participants were accepted into their first choice, while 11,367 others were accepted through their second choice.

Brawijaya University was the state university (PTN) that accepted the most prospective students through the 2022 SNMPTN pathway, with 3,445 applicants.
