Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British higher education analysis firm, has again released its rankings of the world's universities in the *QS World University Rankings 2024*.
QS also compiled the ranked universities by region. At least 10 top universities received high scores in Asia.
First place went to the National University of Singapore (NUS), which received the highest total score of 92.7 out of 100 points. NUS is the only Asian university in the global top 10 for 2024, surpassing University College London (UCL) and the University of California, Berkeley.
Second is Peking University, China, with a score of 87 points, placing it 17th globally.
Third is another Chinese university, Tsinghua University, with a score of 84.9 points, ranking it 25th globally.
Fourth is Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), with a total score of 84.5 points, placing it 26th globally. The University of Hong Kong also achieved the same global score and ranking.
Sixth is The University of Tokyo, with a score of 84.3 points, placing it 28th globally.
Of the 10 top-ranked Asian universities according to QS, four are from China.
This continuous assessment, conducted for the past 20 years, analyzes 1,500 universities in 104 locations or countries. The assessment comprises three main indicators: sustainability, employability outcomes, and international research network.
The assessment is strengthened by analyzing 17.5 million academic papers, expert opinions from 240,000 faculty members at various universities, and input from numerous employers.

9. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) 76.2 points
10. Fudan University, China 74.4 points
