The National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) reported that 702,312 students registered for the 2024 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP). Of that number, only 126,421 were accepted.
SNPMB Chairman Ganefri stated that there was intense competition in several vocational programs (prodi) in this year's SNBP. He said this reflects an increasingly positive public perception of vocational programs.
“Furthermore, the demand from the business and industry world for vocational graduates is also increasing,” Ganefri said in a virtual press conference on Wednesday (March 26, 2024).
The D4 (Diploma 4) Information Technology program at Bandung State Polytechnic (Polban) had the highest acceptance rate, at 1.40%. Out of 927 applicants, only 13 were accepted.
