Less than 10% of scholarship recipients selected for the LPDP Specialist Doctor Scholarship program had a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) in 2022.

Based on a report from the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), 663 out of 2,843 applicants were awarded scholarships for specialist and subspecialist medical studies in 2022.

This breaks down to 643 out of 2,763 applicants receiving scholarships for specialist medical studies. Specializations included cardiology, oncology, neurology, urology, specialist dentistry, and others.

Separately, 20 out of 80 applicants received scholarships for subspecialist medical studies. Subspecializations included cardiology, oncology, urology, and others.

However, only 65 participants had a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) or a statement of unconditional acceptance from a university. This means only 9.8% of scholarship recipients for LPDP specialist and subspecialist medical studies had an LoA.

Details of participants who passed the final LPDP selection and had an LoA are as follows:

* Specialist doctors: 59 participants
* Subspecialist doctors: 6 participants

The LPDP scholarship selection process consists of three stages: administrative selection, scholastic aptitude testing, and substantive assessment.
