Percentage of Severely Damaged Elementary School Classrooms in 38 Provinces of Indonesia for the 2024/2025 Academic Year

According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), 10.81% of elementary school classrooms in Indonesia were in severely damaged condition in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Compared to junior high, senior high, and vocational high school levels, this percentage is the highest.

In addition to severe damage, 49.51% of national elementary school classrooms were in lightly or moderately damaged condition, and only 39.68% were in good condition.

Out of Indonesia's 38 provinces, there are 20 provinces with a percentage of severely damaged elementary school classrooms higher than the national average.

The most widespread damage was found in West Sulawesi and Highland Papua, with 21.35% of classrooms severely damaged in each province.

2. Highland Papua: 21.35%

3. North Kalimantan: 17.50%

4. Maluku: 17.14%

5. East Nusa Tenggara: 16.75%

6. Papua: 16.36%

7. Southeast Sulawesi: 15.73%

8. Central Sulawesi: 15.10%

9. South Papua: 14.99%

10. North Maluku: 14.96%

11. West Kalimantan: 14.83%

12. North Sulawesi: 14.38%

13. Southwest Papua: 14.29%

14. North Sumatra: 13.32%

15. Jambi: 12.19%

16. Central Kalimantan: 11.78%

17. Aceh: 11.74%

18. South Sulawesi: 11.52%

19. Bangka Belitung Islands: 11.13%

20. West Sumatra: 10.94%
