Recipients of the School Revitalization Program in Indonesia Exceeded Target by October 2025

According to data from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, as of October 9, 2025, there are 16,139 educational units that have benefited from the school revitalization program by the Indonesian government.

This number has already exceeded the target initially set at 10,440 units.

This optimization of the number of beneficiaries exceeding the target occurred across all educational levels, with the following details:

Early Childhood Education (PAUD): 

• Target: 1,241 units
• Optimized units: 1,509 units

Primary School (SD):

• Target: 4,053 units
• Optimized units: 6,077 units

Junior High School (SMP):

• Target: 2,753 units
• Optimized units: 3,974 units

Senior High School (SMA):

• Target: 1,382 units
• Optimized units: 2,217 units

Vocational and special education, including vocational high schools (SMK), special needs schools (SLB), and non-formal educational units:

• Target: 982 units
• Optimized units: 1,943 units

Beyond this list, there are also 419 educational units whose decrees (SK) for aid recipients are still in the finalization process.

The school revitalization program for PAUD to Senior High School levels absorbed a budget of Rp16.9 trillion.

Furthermore, for vocational and special education schools, the budget is Rp3.1 trillion, with construction progress at approximately 60% as of September 2025.

"Through this optimization process, we hope to create safe and comfortable educational facilities and infrastructure," said Gogot Suharwoto, Director General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education, in a press release on Thursday (October 9, 2025).
