Top 10 Public Universities with the Most Accepted Students in the 2025 SNBP

The National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPBM) reported that 776,515 students applied for the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP). Meanwhile, state universities (PTN) only offered 155,179 academic seats.

Of that number, only 150,547 applicants were accepted. The breakdown is as follows: 136,990 applicants were accepted into their first choice, 13,557 into their second choice, and 50,553 were accepted through the Indonesian Smart Card (KIP) Kuliah program.

"The acceptance rate was 97.02%, meaning some study programs (prodi) did not fill their quotas," said Eduart Wolok, the General Chairperson of the SNPMB 2025 Task Force, in an online press conference on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

This year, Surabaya State University (Unesa) had the highest number of applicants in the SNBP 2025, reaching 6,262 applicants.

1. Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa): 6,262 students
2. Bogor Agricultural University (IPB): 4,013 students
3. Malang State University (UM): 3,767 students
4. Brawijaya University (UB): 3,739 students
5. Padang State University (UNP): 3,691 students
6. Indonesian University of Education (UPI): 3,671 students
7. Makassar State University (UNM): 3,504 students
8. Diponegoro University (Undip): 3,268 students
9. Malikussaleh University (Unimal): 3,264 students
10. Hasanuddin University (Unhas): 3,140 students

"We also urge the accepted students, as this is a special achievement-based selection pathway, to take this opportunity," said Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
