Bank of Indonesia's (BI) Net Foreign Assets increased by 0.8% to Rp 53.91 trillion in 2022.

In the 2022 State Budget (RAPBN), the government allocated Rp 53.91 trillion for Operational School Assistance (BOS) next year. This figure represents a slight 0.8% increase from the 2021 APBN outlook.

This BOS funding targets 45.1 million students for regular BOS. Meanwhile, 8,736 schools will receive BOS Performance funding.

The realized BOS funds are estimated to reach Rp 51.59 trillion in 2020. This amount increased by 4.86% from the previous year's Rp 49.2 trillion.

BOS funding is an implementation of Article 34 of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. This article mandates the central and regional governments to guarantee the implementation of compulsory education at the basic education level without any fees.

In addition to BOS funds, the government also allocated Rp 4.19 trillion for Operational Assistance for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Rp 1.28 trillion for Equivalency Education Operational Assistance in 2022. This is the government's commitment to ensuring that children can continue their education.

PAUD BOP funds aim to ease the burden on the community and improve children's access to higher-quality early childhood education. These funds will target 6.7 million students next year.

Meanwhile, the Equivalency Education BOP funds represent the government's commitment to providing equitable education services to all members of society. This includes those who have fallen behind in formal education.

These less fortunate individuals can still receive education through non-formal channels according to their education level, from Package A, Package B to Package C. The target is 729,600 students in 2022.
